Logo Project Process

Our goal is to make you comfortable working with us, even if you've never used professional creative services before. And, of course, your 100% satisfaction. To meet those goals we like to explain what you can expect from us, right up front.

Generally, we work under a 40-30-30 percent payment schedule.

Note: This is a general guideline to familiarize yourself with our process. Individual projects may vary.

 

01.  Award Project

40% of the total project fee is due upon your approval of the project estimate.

 

02.  Data Collection and Analysis
We work with you to gather and organize information about your company, communications objectives, expectations and goals. A strategic work plan will then be created based on those criteria.

 

03.  Exploration

We will create and present to you 2–3 initial concepts/designs for each requested direction.

 

04.  Evaluation
Based upon your direction and input, we will work on new concepts/designs or one you have chosen, until you are 100% satisfied. The next installment of 30% of the total project fee is due upon approval of the concept/design direction.

 

05.  Execution

Your approved concept/design direction is finalized into the following formats for use across all media:

Print Format: .EPS

Internet Websafe Color Formats: (if applicable)
.EPS  .JPG.  .GIF

 

06.  Delivery

I deliver your final, approved product upon receipt of remaining 30% of project fee.

 

Project Inclusions

A. Logo Reference Chart: (if applicable)
Full color and grayscale listings of your logo along with their corresponding file name in an easy to read, print, and distribute PDF format

B. Style Guide: (if applicable)
Once your logo update is approved, we will develop a Style Guide to address the application of your new "logo system." This is a critical tool for businesses that use their logo on a wide variety of sales and marketing materials, including brochures, web sites, and point-of-purchase pieces.

Your Guide will include a visually display all full color and grayscale formats of your logo, corresponding file names, color schemes, and recommended usage. Additionally, it will provide compositions and layouts of Office Suite elements as well as essential information regarding printing.

The format will enable you to print the guide for use within your organization, or send it electronically to vendors or designers.

C. Digital Archive:
All files for each element of your corporate identity system will be digitally archived to two (2) cross-platform CD-ROMs, along with corresponding file index.

 

Ownership
You have full ownership of all final and approved materials upon final payment.

Note: LD2 owns all rights to the work we create for you until you pay for it in full. If you do not pay for it in full, you cannot use any part of it. LD2 will be free to sell the conceptnot—the confidential contents—to somebody else.

 

Additionals

Outside costs including, but not limited to, photography, digital photography, stock photography, illustrations, scanning, retouching, color correcting, courier and delivery expenses will be billed additionally.

Any additional changes or revisions beyond initially agreed amount will be charged at a rate agreed upon by both parties in advance.

 

Cancellation Policy
In the event of cancellation of this assignment, ownership of all copyrights and the original artwork shall be retained by LD2, and a cancellation fee for work completed, based on the contract price and expenses already incurred, shall be paid by the client.
